The Borgen Project selects interns year round for positions in Seattle (and occasionally other parts of the country). Seattle internships are typically in policy, political affairs, fundraising, marketing, graphic design and public relations. Interns are required to work a minimum of 300 hours and additional hours are available for those meeting academic requirements or seeking more advanced experience. Interns come in to the office M-F from 9-2 for a period of 12 weeks. All internships are unpaid.
To apply: Send a resume and cover letter to
jobs_borgenproject.org. Specify the area you are applying for in the subject (e.g. marketing internship).
Office Culture: Work hard, play hard. The Borgen Project is a young and energetic organization. We have fun, but we're all business when it comes to bringing political attention to poverty. People arrive early and leave late.
Dress Code: Business to Business Casual.
In the heart of Seattle, where skyscrapers collide with the historic Pioneer Square district, you'll find The Borgen Project's team, operating from office space that was donated by a technology company. We're down the hill from the tallest building west of the Mississippi, one mile from Starbucks headquarters and in the same neighborhood where Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Ray Charles once roamed and performed.
